Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Cook / Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Lead Cook / Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a high level of food quality and presentation. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience for our guests while managing kitchen staff effectively. Salary negotiable pending level of experience.

Duties

Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food handling, and safety protocols.
Coordinate with Management to Develop menus while managing inventory effectively.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Assist in the hiring process of kitchen staff and conduct performance evaluations.
Manage kitchen supplies, equipment maintenance, and ordering of ingredients as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary leadership role within a restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
Excellent skills in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.
Passion for culinary arts and commitment to providing exceptional food service.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
