Legacy Counsellors, P.C. is a growing Massachusetts-based law firm specializing in real estate, estate planning, and estate settlement and seeks an organized and conscientious Estate Planning Paralegal who shares our core values to work with our clients for their personal estate planning needs. We are a goal-oriented firm looking to hire a personally responsible, team-player with integrity and a results-orientated approach, and someone who is comfortable with accountability and seeks personal and professional development.

What You'll Do:

Estate Planning

Reviewing client information for estate planning matters.
Preparing basic estate planning documents including Last Wills and Testaments, Durable Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Proxies.
Scheduling client deliveries and signings of estate planning documents.

This position has long-term career potential and comes with competitive hourly wages, benefits and potential for periodic bonuses. The work week is 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with some flexibility as appropriate.

This position is not remote, and requires in-person work in Westborough, MA, though regularly scheduled “remote work” days can be arranged after initial training is completed. Note: Our Westborough location is scheduled to open August 1st, therefore training will likely take place in our Easthampton or Ludlow Offices. A mileage reimbursement may be provided.

Other skills and expectations include:

- Managing and prioritizing high volume caseload;

- Working with members of the staff and attorneys in assisting with their clients and projects;

- Assisting staff and attorneys with tracking caseload, monitoring and following up on requests and action items;

- Providing exceptional customer service and develop strong client and referral relationships;

- Screening and scheduling appointments for attorneys;

- Self-managing follow up on delegated assignments;

- Maintaining client files; and

- Maintaining client confidentiality.

Qualifications and Preferences

Paralegal certificate or bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies (Preferred, but not required).
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel.
Reliable transportation required -- applicant must be able to travel between office locations as needed.

Must be a team-player, dependable, detail oriented, thorough, honest, and have good organizational skills
Capable of multi-tasking effectively
Flexible and willing to change priorities as needed
Have a “can-do” attitude and be willing to challenging yourself and learning additional tasks
Be client-focused and have a pleasant disposition
Wants to succeed and grow everyday
