Recreation Manager

ALL CANDIDATES MUST CURRENTLY LIVE ON MAUI

Aqualani is seeking an energetic and experienced Recreation Manager to lead beach, pool, and ocean recreation operations across multiple luxury resort locations on Maui. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality-focused leader who enjoys working outdoors, developing high-performing teams, and creating exceptional guest experiences.

As a Recreation Manager, you will oversee daily operations, team performance, guest satisfaction, safety programs, retail operations, and recreational activities while supporting multiple resort partnerships. This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a passion for hospitality.

Responsibilities

Lead and support beach, pool, and ocean recreation operations daily
Recruit, train, coach, and develop recreation associates and supervisors
Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure high guest satisfaction scores
Manage daily staffing, scheduling, and labor planning
Ensure compliance with company safety standards, policies, and procedures
Maintain recreational equipment, facilities, and operational readiness
Oversee retail operations, inventory management, and merchandise ordering
Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with resort partners and internal departments to ensure seamless operations
Document operational activities, incidents, and team performance
Assist with special events, group programs, and seasonal initiatives

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in hospitality, recreation, tourism, watersports, or related fields
Strong team-building and employee development skills
Excellent communication and guest service abilities
Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Point of Sale (POS) and retail management experience preferred
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to work outdoors in beach and pool environments
Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
