As the market leader in online ingredient distribution and trade, we deliver a technology-powered platform built for today's digital demands — including a high-volume, multi-entity, and international payment environment.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in high-volume AP operations to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and is comfortable managing payments across multiple domestic and international bank accounts. You will work cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, Seller/Vendor Management, and international teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payables at scale

Key Responsibilities

Process, verify, and post a high volume of invoices for goods and services received across multiple entities and business units.
Accurately enter bills and bill payments in NetSuite, maintaining consistency across domestic and international vendor accounts.
Manage and reconcile payment activity across multiple bank accounts, currencies, and banking platforms, ensuring accuracy and timely funding.
Prepare and process electronic transfers, ACH payments, domestic and international wire transfers, checks, and other payment methods for sellers, vendors, and payroll.
Create new payment templates, initiate test payments, and troubleshoot payment-processing issues across banking platforms.
Ensure all expenses and payments have appropriate approvals prior to processing, in line with internal controls.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies, including cross-border and multi-currency vendor accounts.
Verify that all freight accounts are current, accurate, and reconciled.
Ensure proper coding of invoices and compliance with company policies and GAAP.
Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Operations, Seller/Vendor Management, and international teams to resolve invoice, payment, and vendor issues.
Review payroll journal entries for accuracy and enter bank-to-bank transfer journal entries.
Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of all financial transactions.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly and professionally.
Complete month-end AP processes and support month-end/year-end close activities.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policy.
Identify opportunities to improve AP workflows and payment processes as transaction volume and complexity grow.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable role, ideally supporting multiple business units or entities.
Demonstrated experience managing payments across multiple bank accounts and banking platforms, including domestic and international wires.
Proven track record collaborating cross-functionally across departments — and across domestic and international teams — to resolve payables issues.
Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Experience working in a public company environment is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes, journal entries, and financial controls.
Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a high-transaction-volume setting.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Preferred Skills

Experience with automated payment systems and electronic banking platforms across multiple banks or currencies.
Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Experience processing high-volume ACH and international wire payments.
Familiarity with month-end close and financial reporting processes.
Experience supporting international or cross-border vendor and payment relationships.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
