Full Job Description

Are you a skilled CNC Programmer ready to take ownership of second shift operations and drive machining excellence?

Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick, is actively hiring a CNC Programmer to join its team in Fond du Lac, WI. This position is a 2nd shift role working 2:30 to 10:30pm.

As a CNC Programmer, you will develop, optimize, and support CNC machining processes across a variety of machine tools. This role is responsible for creating efficient CNC programs, selecting tooling, troubleshooting machining issues, and partnering closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.

What This Role Offers
This position provides the opportunity to work independently on second shift with direct impact on production uptime and process improvement. Training will occur on first shift for approximately one to two weeks before transitioning to the permanent second shift schedule of 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM. The role involves working with advanced CNC equipment including Mazak, Okuma, Tsugami, Junker, and Fanuc controls in a stable manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure manufacturability and resolve machining and process challenges
Determine appropriate speeds, feeds, and cutting strategies to support manufacturing operations
Maintain machine control parameters and provide technical support to maintenance personnel
Identify, evaluate, and support the implementation of new tooling applications
Perform arithmetic calculations and develop parametric/variable based programming solutions

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree (2 year technical program) in CNC Programming or a related field preferred
Previous CNC programming and machining experience, including performing set-ups
Ability to work second shift hours of 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM
Proficiency with Mastercam and CAD/CAM software preferred
