ABOUT WK MARTIAL ARTS
WK Martial Arts is a modern family martial arts school in Schaumburg. We help children, teens, and adults develop confidence, discipline, fitness, character, and practical self-defense skills.
Our age-appropriate curriculum combines quality martial arts instruction with a safe, structured, clean, and fun environment. Students feel supported, challenged, and excited to improve.
We have an awesome team, a modern curriculum, and a rapidly growing community of students and families. As WK Martial Arts grows, we want the right people to grow with us.
Martial arts experience is very helpful, but it is not required. We provide training in our curriculum, teaching methods, class structure, and student engagement system.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with and eventually leading martial arts classes
- Demonstrating drills, holding pads, and helping students improve
- Keeping students focused, engaged, safe, and motivated
- Supporting students who may be nervous, distracted, or struggling
- Greeting students and parents warmly
- Helping track student attendance, progress, and retention
- Communicating with prospective and current families
- Assisting with enrollment, customer service, and school operations
- Supporting birthday parties, camps, special events, and community programs
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, and professional facility
- Participating in ongoing staff training and professional development
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
- Martial arts, combat sports, gymnastics, fitness, or athletic coaching
- Schools, daycares, camps, or youth programs
- Physical education, personal training, athletic training, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or special education
- Customer service, sales, membership services, hospitality, or business operations
REQUIREMENTS
- Dependable, professional, and punctual
- Comfortable working in an active, fast-paced environment
- Willing to complete a background check
- Willing to obtain and maintain CPR and AED certification
- Available during weekday afternoons and evenings
- Saturday availability is strongly preferred
- Able to accept feedback and participate in ongoing training
