Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and talented Pastry Chef to join our dynamic culinary team! In this role, you will be responsible for creating exquisite baked goods, desserts, and pastries that delight our guests and elevate our culinary offerings. Your expertise in pastry preparation, cake decorating, and food presentation will play a vital role in delivering memorable dining experiences. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where high-volume production and food safety are top priorities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry while maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to all food handling standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, cookies, and bread, following established recipes and quality standards
Decorate cakes and desserts with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet presentation expectations
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, pastry bags, and other baking tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
Package finished products carefully for storage or delivery while ensuring freshness and quality
Assist in food production for catering events or high-volume service periods, ensuring timely delivery of all items
Support the team with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, portioning baked goods, and preparing pastry components
Uphold food safety management practices by following proper handling procedures and monitoring storage conditions

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role within the food industry with a strong portfolio of baked goods and pastries
Skilled in cake decorating, pastry preparation, baking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment effectively
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across large batches of baked items
Excellent knife skills for precise cutting, shaping, and decorating tasks
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory levels
Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Previous catering experience or experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is preferred
Culinary experience demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry arts
