Full Job Description

Position Summary

URL is hiring a Temporary Data Quality Specialist to support a new data quality initiative. This position is expected to continue through December 2026.

In this role, you will review reports, identify and correct data issues, research missing information, and update records in our customer relationship management system (CRM). You will also work with our Commissions and Contracting teams to resolve questions and improve data accuracy.

The ideal candidate is organized, careful, comfortable using Microsoft Excel, and able to stay focused while completing detailed work. Insurance experience is helpful but not required.

Key Responsibilities

Download data files and reports from insurance carrier websites.
Review data quality reports and identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect information.
Research errors and locate missing information on carrier websites.
Enter, update, and correct information in the company’s CRM.
Perform approved bulk updates to CRM records.
Use Microsoft Excel to organize, filter, compare, and review data.
Work with the Commissions and Contracting teams to resolve data issues.
Review completed work for accuracy and completeness.
Follow established procedures, security requirements, and data quality standards.
Protect confidential company, customer, agent, and policy information.
Report questions, discrepancies, and unusual findings to the appropriate team member.
Keep clear records of completed updates and unresolved issues.
Meet assigned deadlines and communicate any problems that may delay the work.
Assist with other data-processing and administrative projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work accurately with large amounts of data.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic spreadsheet functions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to research information online and work across several websites and systems.
Ability to learn new tools, systems, and procedures.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to follow written instructions and established processes.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage assigned work.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
Ability to handle confidential information with care.

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is helpful but not required:

Experience with Salesforce or another CRM system.
Experience with data entry, data quality, quality assurance, data auditing, or data validation.
Experience with accounting, bookkeeping, commissions, or financial data.
Experience using Excel formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, or reports.
Familiarity with insurance products, carriers, agents, agencies, policies, contracts, or commissions.
Experience with automation, bulk data updates, or data-processing software.

A successful Data Quality Specialist will:

Complete accurate and timely data updates.
Find and report data issues before they create larger problems.
Follow documented processes and ask questions when instructions are unclear.
Keep confidential information secure.
Work well with team members across several departments.
Maintain focus while completing detailed and repetitive tasks.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position involves extended periods of sitting and working at a computer.
The employee will regularly use a keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
The employee must be able to communicate with coworkers by email, telephone, video meeting, and in person.

Additional Information

This is a temporary position expected to end in December 2026.
Continued employment beyond the expected end date is not guaranteed.
This position is not eligible for URL’s regular employee benefit package, except as required by law or provided under the terms of an applicable benefit plan.

This is an on-site position in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
