Full Job Description

Gain great experience at this innovative company! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in Osakis, MN. We work one-on-one with great candidates to help connect them with local employment opportunities. We are seeking candidates for CNC Machinist roles. Compensation for these opportunities is $19.71-$36.92 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Variety of shifts available with a 15% differential for 2nd shift and 20% differential for weekend shifts! Interested? Read below for more information!

What you’ll do as the CNC Machinist:

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on the material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining
Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media
Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or control media
Verify the conformity of the finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth micrometers. Familiarity with CMM, GD&T, and SPC
Set up and operate the machine on a trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data
Work with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems

What you need to be a CNC Machinist:

2-year machining degree preferred
3+ years of CNC machining experience
