Full Job Description

Position Summary

Certified Multimedia Solutions LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Access Control, CCTV, and Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, servicing, and troubleshooting low-voltage systems including access control, surveillance cameras, structured cabling, and related security systems. This position requires strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and coaxial cable.
Install and configure CCTV camera systems, NVRs, DVRs, and video management software.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain access control systems including card readers, electric strikes, maglocks, and door hardware.
Perform system testing, commissioning, and customer training.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
Troubleshoot system faults and perform service repairs.
Complete job documentation, service reports, and as-built drawings.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.

Qualifications Required

Minimum 2 years of experience in low-voltage, security, access control, or CCTV installation.
Knowledge of structured cabling standards and installation practices.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and ladders.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and wiring schematics.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred

Experience with systems such as Hanwah, Avigilon, Genetec, Openpath, Brivo, Lenel, Honeywell, Bosch, or similar platforms.

Fiber optic termination and testing experience.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Lift certification.
BICSI certification or other industry credentials.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and in construction environments.
Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work overhead for extended periods.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
