Position Summary
The Construction Project & Safety Coordinator supports the successful planning, execution, and completion of commercial construction projects while coordinating company safety initiatives. This role partners with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and field teams to keep projects organized, compliant, on schedule, and operating safely.
Essential Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Support Project Managers with scheduling, planning, and daily project administration.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
- Coordinate communication with subcontractors, vendors, architects, clients, and field teams.
- Track material procurement, project schedules, invoices, and project milestones.
- Maintain project files, permits, insurance certificates, compliance documentation, and project closeout packages.
- Attend project meetings, document action items, and support project closeout activities.
Safety Coordination
- Assist with implementing and maintaining company safety programs and site-specific safety plans.
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections and monitor OSHA and company safety compliance.
- Coordinate safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training.
- Investigate incidents, maintain safety records, and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor PPE compliance, equipment inspections, and emergency preparedness.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction project coordination, safety coordination, or a related role.
- Knowledge of commercial construction processes and OSHA regulations.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software.

Work Environment
Combination of office and active construction sites with regular travel between projects. Requires walking, climbing, and working in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
