Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. This role involves managing a diverse patient population, providing preventive care, diagnosing illnesses, and developing treatment plans to promote overall health and wellness.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including physical examinations and health assessments, utilizing clinical research and medical terminology knowledge.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups, integrating healthcare diagnosis techniques and medical imaging when necessary.
Develop personalized care plans that encompass preventive measures, health coaching, and patient education to improve health outcomes.
Collaborate with specialists in areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, neurology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR/EHR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
Manage inpatient and outpatient cases within hospital or clinic settings, including triage and post-acute care planning.
Engage in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery standards aligned with NCQA standards.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold infection control protocols while delivering safe, high-quality patient service.

Qualifications

Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of post-residency training in family medicine or related fields.
Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
Demonstrated experience in primary care settings with inpatient experience preferred.
Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology techniques relevant to family medicine practice.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams of healthcare professionals.
Experience in managing diverse patient populations across various age groups including pediatric neuropsychology or geriatrics is desirable.
Commitment to providing comprehensive patient care that includes immunizations, chronic disease management (such as diabetes care), mental health support including PTSD care or behavioral health services, and preventive screenings like mammography or immunizations.
