About the Role

Pressed Cafe is seeking a dependable and motivated Prep Cook to join our commissary kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and food items quickly and consistently while maintaining the high quality standards that set Pressed Cafe apart.

Food production, quality, and consistency are central to our operation, and Prep Cooks play a key role in ensuring our kitchens are set up for success each day. Our prep kitchen operates from 4:00 AM to 6:00 PM, supporting food production for multiple Pressed Cafe locations.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working as part of a team, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

What You’ll Do

Prepare food and ingredients according to company recipes and production standards
Maintain complete knowledge of your assigned prep station
Ensure food quality, consistency, and proper portioning at all times
Label and date all prepped items to ensure freshness and proper food rotation
Keep your workstation clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth production
Assist other kitchen stations as needed to support team workflow
Help maintain overall kitchen cleanliness and organization
Support the dishwasher or other kitchen team members when needed

What You Bring

Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
Commitment to food quality, cleanliness, and kitchen standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Availability to work morning shifts
