Job Title: Project Engineering Manager

Location: Peru, Indiana

Salary: $125K -155K plus bonus

Job Summary of the Project Engineering Manager: As the Project Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex technical projects in the food industry in Peru, Indiana. This role involves leading a team of engineers, as well as designing, developing, and implementing innovative solutions. Strong independent problem-solving skills are required to tackle challenging issues as they arise.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Engineering Manager:

Create engineering designs, material specifications, and cost estimates. Evaluate feasibility and economic viability of projects.

Ensure compliance with standards and codes, validate field work, and create as-built documentation.

Review engineering submissions for accuracy and completeness.

Manage project execution by coordinating with vendors and contractors.

Collaborate with plant personnel, vendors, and contractors to coordinate project schedules and implementation plans.

Work with vendors and contractors on layout planning and utility requirements.

Review consultant work, maintain project documentation, and oversee vendor relationships.

Lead planning and reviews in the pre-project phases.

Define project scope, evaluate proposals, and provide regular status updates to management.

Manage contract administration, review bid packages, and ensure installations are within budget and specifications.

Education & Experience Requirements of the Project Engineering Manager:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field plus 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience including team management.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

Strong communication, planning, teamwork, and analytical skills.

Ability to travel 50% of the time.

Strong team player in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in engineering economics.

Experience with managing multimillion-dollar projects preferred.
