Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Architectural Reviewer to support our architectural team with code compliance reviews, quality control, and construction drawing redlines. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and architectural documentation standards, with the ability to identify coordination issues and improve drawing accuracy across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

Review architectural drawing sets for:
Building code compliance
Zoning compliance
Coordination consistency
Construction documentation quality
Perform detailed redline markups and provide clear correction comments to project teams.
Review consultant drawings (MEP, structural, civil, landscape) for coordination conflicts.
Verify compliance with:
Florida Building Code
Miami-Dade requirements
Accessibility standards (ADA)
Life safety regulations
Assist project teams during permitting and plan review responses.
Monitor drawing standards, sheet organization, annotations, and detailing quality.
Identify missing information, inconsistencies, and constructability issues.
Collaborate with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers to maintain project quality and deadlines.

Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years of architectural experience.
Strong knowledge of:
Building codes and permitting
Construction documents
Architectural detailing
QA/QC processes
Experience with residential and commercial projects preferred.
Proficiency in:
AutoCAD
Revit
Bluebeam or PDF markup software
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Licensed Architect preferred.
Experience with Miami-Dade and South Florida permitting processes is highly desirable.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.

Schedule

Flexible part-time schedule.
Approximately 10–25 hours per week depending on project workload.

Compensation

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is highly meticulous, proactive, and experienced in identifying technical issues before permit submission or construction. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys technical review, mentoring through redlines, and maintaining high documentation standards across architectural projects.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
