Private Chef

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and discreet private chef to support a busy working family in a high profile household.

The client is a super taster with an exceptionally sensitive sense of smell and extremely high standards for flavor, freshness, cleanliness, organization, consistency, and presentation

The ideal candidate is confident, calm, self directed, and highly skilled. This person must be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision or reassurance. The chef should maintain a quiet, professional, and low profile presence while consistently producing refined cuisine with Michelin caliber technique and presentation.

This position requires approximately 50 hours per week, with flexibility based on the household's schedule and needs. Cooking for a couple, two dogs, and two small children.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare refined, restaurant quality meals with Michelin caliber technique, creativity, and presentation.

Create sophisticated dishes that honor the natural flavor, quality, and texture of exceptional ingredients.

Avoid overcooking, excessive seasoning, unnecessary handling, and over preparation.

Follow the family's established macros, portions, dietary requirements, and meal schedule with precision.

Create Blue Zones inspired and longevity focused menus without compromising flavor, refinement, creativity, or presentation.

Follow the household's established vitamin and supplement routine as directed.

Plan menus and source exceptionally fresh, high quality ingredients.

Purchase groceries, manage kitchen inventory, track food spending, and remain within the agreed household budget.

Provide receipts and expense reports as requested.

Prepare appropriate quantities and minimize food, ingredient, and supply waste.

Maintain exceptional cleanliness and sanitation throughout preparation and service.

Clean all equipment, surfaces, dishes, and cooking areas immediately after use.

Leave the kitchen immaculate, organized, quiet, and free of lingering cooking odors.

Manage the complete kitchen workflow independently, including menu planning, shopping, preparation, cooking, service, storage, inventory, and cleanup.

Anticipate the household's needs without requiring frequent direction or reassurance.

Work efficiently and quietly while respecting the family's privacy, routines, personal space, and professional obligations.

Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the family, guests, household, schedules, and all private matters.

Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, judgment, discretion, and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

Professional experience in fine dining, Michelin level restaurants, luxury hospitality, or private households.

Strong knowledge of macros, portion control, Blue Zones inspired cooking, and longevity focused nutrition.

Exceptional culinary technique, creativity, plating ability, and attention to detail.

Experience sourcing premium ingredients and managing a household food budget.

Strong organizational, inventory, sanitation, and kitchen management skills.

Ability to follow detailed dietary instructions and established wellness routines accurately.

Comfortable working alone in the chef's kitchen and managing all responsibilities independently.

Able to receive concise and direct feedback, make adjustments quickly, and maintain a positive attitude.

Exceptionally clean, organized, precise, consistent, and respectful of the household environment.

Calm, emotionally steady, dependable, mature, and focused on solutions.

Confident in their craft without ego or the need for frequent reassurance.

No drama, gossip, unnecessary conflict, or disruptive behavior.

Able to maintain clear professional boundaries and avoid bringing personal issues into the workplace.

Quiet and low profile, with excellent awareness of boundaries and personal space.

The successful candidate understands how to deliver an exceptional culinary experience without creating unnecessary friction or disruption. This chef is polished but not performative, confident but not rigid, and attentive without being intrusive.

Success in this role means producing refined, health focused cuisine with Michelin caliber presentation while maintaining an immaculate kitchen and a discreet, efficient, and nearly invisible presence within the household.

Schedule

5 days per week: Monday through Friday
