Company Overview

Andronaco Industries is the world leader in corrosion proof piping materials, components, and systems. We are keenly focused on products and processes that are critical to the safe handling of hazardous materials. We specialize in a vast array of material processing from common metals through exotic polymers and composites, fluoropolymers, and high alloy metallics. You won’t find our processes in your textbooks!

We are looking for a mechanical engineer to help us with the development and validation testing of several new products and processes. You will be involved with product design, calculations, analysis, manufacturing, and testing. You will be responsible for organizing complex activities for the design, development, implementation, and validation of engineering projects and new product design.

Key Responsibilities

Perform engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives that involve product development planning, engineering specifications, and validation testing.
Perform design calculations and prepare equipment and material specifications. Assignments often require the investigation of complex variables and uncommon requirements.
Read specifications, piping layouts, and statements of work to develop drawings and work instructions to accurately produce the desired products.
Verify design integrity by performing engineering analysis and evaluating functional feasibility and specification compliance.
Create test procedures based on industry standards. Build fixtures and set-up to perform physical testing and write accurate test reports.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods to optimally produce our products.
Attend meetings, provide technical support, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent
Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience preferred but not required.
Skills:
Basic proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software
Core understanding of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and materials science.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Work Environment:

This position operates in an office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, measuring and inspection equipment as well as common hand and power tools.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crawling and climbing periodically. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel:

Some travel is expected for this position (<10%).
