Renovation Sells Madison is hiring an experienced carpenter to join our interior renovation team. We specialize in high-impact home improvements, including kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring, tile, finishing work, and interior refresh projects throughout Madison and the Dane County area.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, communicates clearly, and can be trusted as our eyes and ears on the job site.
This role is ideal for a carpenter who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working with clients, and helping keep projects on schedule from demolition through finish work.

Responsibilities
- Perform interior carpentry and remodeling work, including framing, drywall, installing doors or windows, flooring, tiling, and finish work
- Support kitchen, bathroom, basement, and whole-home renovation projects
- Read project scopes, follow plans, and help keep work aligned with schedule and quality expectations
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners and subcontractors
- Provide job site updates, identify issues, and help solve problems in the field
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
- Use technology to share photos, updates, schedules, notes, and project information
- Represent Renovation Sells Madison with professionalism and integrity
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Minimum 8 years of carpentry or remodeling experience
- Strong skills in interior remodeling and finish carpentry
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working around homeowners and communicating with clients
- Tech-savvy and willing to use apps, photos, messages, and digital project tools
- Able to coordinate with subcontractors and keep projects moving efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Respectful, inclusive, and professional when working with clients, coworkers, and trade partners
- Ability to lift materials, use tools safely, and work in active renovation environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Own basic hand tools; Larger tools and equipment provided

Compensation
Starting pay range is $27- $37 per hour, with higher compensation available for candidates with more proven experience.
Benefits include health, vision and dental insurance (or stipend), paid time off, mileage reimbursement, and a phone stipend. The benefits package is flexible based upon the needs of the candidate.
