Full Job Description

Procurement Project Manager

** Hiring Immediately **

Salary: Starting Salary dependent on level of experience.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Procurement Project Manager to lead all purchasing functions related to the manufacture and production of large diameter steel line pipe at our Steelton facility located in the heart of Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale region. Our mill produces straight seam DSAW pipe in diameters ranging from 24” to 42”, in grades up to X-80 and in lengths up to 80’.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Plan, Conduct and Control all project procurement activities for the Pipe Mill; keeping senior management updated on the status of all projects and their estimated completions

· Manage multiple process improvement projects, capital projects and technical procurement projects

· Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in Pipe Manufacturing

· Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors

· Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries

· Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production

· Conducting cost analysis and setting benchmarks for improvement

· Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages

Education & Experience:

· Associate degree in business or related field preferred (but not required).

· Minimum of 3 years of procurement project management experience.

· Strong Project management skillset with proven record of Managing and Closing projects

· Strong interpersonal skills; Able to forge internal customer and external supplier relationships

· Service and Results Oriented

· Demonstrated Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP procurement system preferred

· Must be able to read blueprints (Machined parts, Hydraulic Schematics, Mechanical assemblies)

This is permanent direct hire position; all applicants must pass background and substance screening.

Pay: $88,000.00 per year
