Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mazatrol and G-code programming along with lathe and milling operations. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high quality, precision parts according to specifications.
Duties:
- Program, set up and operate CNC lathe and milling machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications as well as reverse engineering
- Choose and load the right tools, fixtures, offsets, and materials for each job
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to check the accuracy and quality of machine components
- Monitor the performance of the machines and adjust them as needed
- Create or modify work holding and fixturing
- Inspect the parts after machining and ensure they meet the quality standards
- Troubleshoot and fix any problems with the machines or programs
- Perform regular maintenance on the machines to keep them in good condition and extend their lifespan
- Keep the work area clean and organized
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years proven experience as a CNC Programmer/Machinist, preferably in a machine shop environment
- Proficient in the Mazatrol, G-code programming at machine controls as well as set up and operating mills and lathes
- Strong knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
