Description: The Practical Nursing Financial Aid/Program Support Assistant is a qualified, competent and experienced full year appointee who will be assigned to the Practical Nursing Program. The Practical Nursing Financial Aid and Program Support Assistant will complete the day-to-day operations of financial aid and assist with program support. Responsibilities and Duties: Financial Aid 1.Responsible for day-to-day operations related to Title IV financial obligations and compliance.
Ensures compliance and other Financial Aid programs. 2.Conducts individual student meetings to ensure accuracy and timely payment of all tuition and fees. Coordinates applications for Federal Financial Aid (ISIR/FAFSA), documents student eligibility criteria, and determines student financial aid need. Certifies Sallie Mae private student loans, along with various FA programs, as needed.
Communicates and coordinates with the Business Office regarding all student financial obligations (receipts, collections, refunds, and returns).3.Assists with admissions applications, rosters, attendance record, enter curriculum and clinical calendars, satisfactory academic progress (SAP) records, and academic probation records.4.Maintains and reconciles student financial files, school records, documents of awards, student refunds and/or Federal Return to Title IV (R2T4), and data collection for reporting. 5.Generates correspondence and related reports for all admitted students, financial status, ensuring privacy, confidentiality and ensuring compliance of all information with various FA programs.6.Adheres to required written policies and procedures in accordance to Title IV program regulations, and other financial aid programs such as Sallie Mae or Veterans Affairs (VA) in coordination with the Business Office. 7.Completes reporting, compliance, and audit requirements, including but not limited to: FAS along with various FA program and the preparation of annual student statements with Business Office, and subsequent IRS Form 1098-Ts.8.Meets or corresponds with students for collections, customer statement balances and Financial Aid matters.9.Interacts (via email, telephone and in person) with students and non-enrolled students, staff, and any third parties as needed for any financial aid inquiries. 10.Completes other relevant assignments as requested by the Practical Nursing Program Coordinator or Business Manager.
Program Support 11.Prepares, and schedules Department Meetings and Advisory Board Meetings or other meetings as scheduled (responsible for agenda, minutes, attendance, and emails) with prior approval from PN Coordinator or designee. 12.Prepares and attends including, but not limited to: the Annual New Student Orientation, Open House, Marketing Event, Program Events, gathering, and Graduation. 13.Assists and prepares and attends marketing events, mailings, program events. 14.Collaborates with Marketing initiatives for the PN Program.15.Tracks and responds to inquiries for information regarding the PN Program and screens calls/emails to channel to the appropriate personnel.
16.Arranges and proctors entrance exams for PN potential candidates/applicants. 17.Performs any other duties assigned by the PN Coordinator/Designee, and faculty. 18.Maintains student attendance, and clinical attendance. 19.Assists faculty, staff, clinical partners and PN Coordinator, as needed.20.Schedules clinical pre visits and visits with PN Coordinator and designee.21.Gathering clinical documentation and disseminating documents and information, as needed.
22.Informs PN Coordinator or designee of absences and make ups for students, as needed. 23.Maintains, Audits and Destruction with Maintenance of Records Policy for student records and general program record keeping including Data bases (not limited to: Access, Excel). 24.Maintains and protects records pertaining to the daily operations of the program. 25.Prepares purchase orders for the PN Program with PN Coordinators approval.
Collaborates with Student Governance regarding student accounts, fundraising and Graduation. 26.Gathers payroll time sheets to be signed by PN Coordinator or designee. 27.Prepares and distributes statistical reports/documents and generates reports as required by the PN Program in a timely manner. 28.Assists other departments in cultivating and maintaining a positive rapport with all school staff, students, members of the community, state and federal agencies, in every way possible, and at all time Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to operate at a very high level of efficiency, independence, and confidentiality.

Compensation and Terms of Employment: 1.Compensation based on qualifications and experience. Annualized salary range of $50,000 - $55,000, paid biweekly. FLSA designation: Non-Exempt.2.Full year assignment - 52 weeks, 37.5 hours per week. Regular schedule Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day with a half-hour duty free lunch period.
Targeted workday of 10am 6pm while classes in session and 8 am 4pm during non-class days. 3.The school district will provide necessary facilities, equipment, materials and supplies as needed to accomplish assignments.4.All benefits and entitlements available to Full Year Support Personnel will be provided.
