Full Job Description

Looking for Licensed Vocational Nurses seeking for a part-time instructor in the Vocational Nursing Program.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for conducting clinical training at various clinical settings and at the skills lab. Schedule may include evenings, weekends, in a classroom and clinical setting.

Minimum Qualifications

An active and unencumbered Nursing license in California
Must have up-to-date adult immunizations, titers, and Basic Life Support (BLS) or the ability to obtain these by the hiring date.
6 years of bedside nursing experience, with a preference for candidates with nursing education OR 2 years of bedside nursing experience with a Bachelor's Degree in any field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in nursing education, including teaching in a vocational nursing program or similar setting.
Background in clinical coordination, healthcare simulation, or hands-on instructional experience.
Experience in student advising and participation in committees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct clinical training at affiliated clinical sites - Fundamentals, Medsurg, Pharmacology, OB, Mental Health and Pediatric
Utilize technology, including Learning Management Systems and simulation labs, to enhance instruction.
Supervise clinical, lab, and simulation experiences while facilitating group discussions and student conferences.
Foster an engaging learning environment using diverse teaching methods to support student success.
Assess and document student progress, providing timely feedback.
Advise students and contribute to retention and success initiatives.
Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and instructional improvement efforts.
Serve on committees, attend meetings, and engage in professional development.
Support institutional initiatives, including instructional evaluations, peer observations, and faculty assessments.
Participate in graduation and pinning ceremonies.
Work effectively with diverse student populations, incorporating inclusive teaching practices.
Ability to navigate Google Suite.
