COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Ag Enterprise Supply, Inc. is an established agricultural products and services company serving farmers and growers throughout the region. Located near Cheney, Washington, approximately 20 miles west of Spokane, the company provides fertilizers, crop-protection products, agronomy services, agricultural equipment manufacturing, and an extensive parts department.

Our team works closely with agricultural producers to provide practical solutions, responsive service, and dependable products that support successful farming operations.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Ag Enterprise Supply is seeking an experienced Accounting & Office Manager to oversee accounting and administrative operations at our Cheney, Washington location.

This full-time, on-site position combines hands-on accounting responsibilities, office management, employee administration, and direct supervision of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Clerks.

The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership to support month-end and year-end close, prepare and review account reconciliations, oversee accounts payable and receivable, coordinate payroll and benefits administration, and maintain effective administrative procedures and internal controls.

This position also serves as a primary point of contact for outside payroll, benefits, human resources, insurance, and information technology providers. We are looking for someone who can manage detailed accounting work while recognizing broader operational priorities, exercising sound judgment, and ensuring important responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate month-end and year-end accounting close activities.
Prepare and review general-ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
Research accounting discrepancies and resolve outstanding items.
Supervise and support the Accounts Payable Clerk and Accounts Receivable Clerk.
Oversee vendor invoices and payments, customer billing, cash receipts, credits, and account adjustments.
Coordinate payroll processing, employee deductions, benefits administration, and related reconciliations.
Support employee onboarding, personnel changes, leave administration, and employee separations.
Serve as a liaison with outside payroll, benefits, HR, insurance, IT, banking, and accounting providers.
Coordinate daily office operations, recurring administrative deadlines, and staff workflow priorities.
Maintain and improve accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls.
Assist management with reporting, financial information, research, and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Five or more years of progressively responsible accounting, bookkeeping, office management, or related business administration experience.
Practical experience with month-end close, journal entries, general-ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
Strong working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll administration.
Experience supervising employees or coordinating and reviewing the work of others.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial and employee information.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred.
Experience in agriculture, distribution, or an inventory-based business preferred.
An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

$28–$34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Full-time, hourly, nonexempt position.
Overtime compensation when applicable.
