Job Summary
OUR COMPANY

Dan.Ko Properties LLC is a small but growing Property Management Company located in Nashotah Wisconsin but operating primarily out of West Allis Wisconsin where the bulk of our rental properties are located.

We purchase distressed & mismanaged multifamily residential Real Estate. We remodel & refresh these properties in house as we pick them up. We also maintain these properties and conduct make readies for new residents as previous residents move out.

Currently we are operate 17 residential rental units & 3-4 commercial spaces across 9 buildings. We are looking however to expand into 20-80 unit properties moving forward!

Our goal is 1000+ local rental units between West Allis & Lake Country in the next 5-10 years. There is massive opportunity for growth with our company!!

We currently work with multiple other investors running multiple hundreds of units and this is an extremely attainable goal for our company with the right team!

OUR TEAM

We have had the same in house contractor for the last 7+ years who has been such a blessing & huge part of our progress but has unfortunately been out for the last couple of years due to health issues. He is still in recovery for the next 2-6 months but may be back with our company some time after that.

His name is Noah, he is an amazing guy, and I know he would be really excited to find we added someone with similar skillsets & the right personality to join us on our journey forward!

Additionally our team consists of myself, Dan Maegli. Historically I have been very involved in our remodels & maintenance work. Mostly I GC everything. I help out with the physical labor when & where I can. I've got a really solid knowledge base on the work, our company, etc. I like final approval on designs and stay as involved as I can.

At this time this is not my only company and I am still frequently required in many different places and doing many different things.

Our second company Affordable Auto Glass is based out of the same building as Dan.Ko Properties, has an amazing team of 5, and if you take a position with us you will have the honor of meeting & working with some of those fine people as well.

Next on our team at Dan.Ko Properties is my wife Laura who has been involved extensively with design, electrical, cabinet building, and other areas of our remodels specifically.

We have a couple of general laborers as well. The main of which is my buddy Kyle who joins us from time to time on different projects. Kyle has a very good working knowledge of our company, our standards, and is often involved in demo, clean up, & painting as well as other general tasks.

We also recently brought on a Virtual Assistant, her name is Sarah, and she is going to be my Personal Assistant and Administrative Operations for Dan.Ko Properties. This is a newer position & relationship but I'm really looking forward to Sarah being a more permanent and long term part of our team!

We really value all of our team members at our companies and want you to have a full understanding of who we are, & what we value, before deciding to take a position with us.

THIS POSITION

This is a brand new position with us and it will take some months to really work out the kinks and fully establish the role.

As of right now we have three remodels needing completion, we have a handful of maintenance tickets to be addressed, we have a lot of additional work at our commercial space, and a good amount of concrete work to be completed at my personal home.

We usually run a main in house contractor 40 hours a week during Spring/Summer/Fall and tend to slow down a bit in the winter months which has worked well for Noah with us in the past.

We plan to pick up our first 20-80 unit property by next spring and with that a ton of additional work needing to be done.

For this role we are looking to hire someone with a diverse knowledge of the trades, solid skillsets, excellent problem solving ability, self motivated, with excellent work ethic & character.

Someone who works great alone or with others and shows some leadership ability.

REQUIREMENTS:

1) 5+ Years of construction experience.

2) Consistent & Reliable Transportation to & from work.

3) Ability to work alone, with other's, and in a leadership role.

4) Has own set of construction tools. (We do provide a number of larger items & have a lot of company equipment but expect you to have your own base set of tools.)

5) General construction knowledge in a wide variety of skill-sets including but not limited to carpentry, flooring install, cabinetry install, countertop install, tile install, basic pluming, basic electrical, painting, concrete, decks & patios, windows & doors, fixtures & finishes. Siding & roofing a plus but not required!
