Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team in our newest location, The Westerly in Pewaukee! In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals with memory-related conditions in a nurturing environment. Your contributions will help enhance the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
Provide medication administration as prescribed, ensuring adherence to care plans.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, catering to individual dietary needs.
Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction.
Lift and transfer residents safely using proper techniques and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe environment within the facility, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff.
Support residents with mobility challenges, ensuring they can navigate the facility comfortably.

Skills

Experience in memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing care and support to others.
Ability to lift and assist residents safely while maintaining their dignity.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
Familiarity with home care practices or experience in group homes or retirement homes is beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude are essential traits for success in this role.
