Responsibilities

Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation in line with established recipes and standards
Oversee menu planning, ensuring variety, nutritional balance, and adherence to dietary guidelines
Prepare a wide range of dishes with precision, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling procedures
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support high-volume food production
Ensure compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management protocols at all times
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste
Uphold high standards of cleanliness, organization, and sanitation within the kitchen environment

Requirements

Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant cook, or culinary professional with a focus on fine dining or high-volume production
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills
Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations across various settings
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food production and meal preparation
