Pharmacy Delivery Driver – Resume Overview, Duties & Skills

Professional Overview

Reliable and professional Pharmacy Delivery Driver responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely delivery of prescription medications to patients, clinics, and healthcare facilities throughout Broward and Miami-Dade counties. Requires strong customer service, route-management, communication, and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable communicating with Spanish-speaking patients, able to use GPS and mobile delivery applications, and committed to maintaining patient confidentiality and proper medication-handling procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Pick up prescription medications and assigned delivery routes from the pharmacy.
Deliver prescriptions safely and accurately to patients, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
Verify delivery addresses and special instructions before leaving the pharmacy.
Organize stops to complete routes efficiently and on time.
Communicate professionally with Spanish-speaking patients regarding deliveries.
Contact patients when necessary to confirm location or delivery instructions.
Obtain patient or authorized-recipient signatures when required.
Complete electronic proof of delivery.
Take delivery confirmation photographs when required.
Properly document unsuccessful delivery attempts.
Immediately report incorrect addresses, unavailable patients, refused deliveries, or other delivery problems.
Safely transport refrigerated and temperature-sensitive medications.
Protect medications from heat, moisture, damage, or unauthorized access.
Maintain communication with pharmacy staff throughout the delivery route.
Use GPS and pharmacy delivery applications to navigate and document deliveries.
Return all undelivered medications to the pharmacy according to company procedures.
Protect confidential patient and prescription information.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.
Follow pharmacy policies and medication-delivery procedures at all times.
