Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare documentation, with a commitment to delivering exceptional nursing services across diverse clinical settings. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and overall well-being. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessments, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols while ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety.
Perform specialized procedures including IV infusion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Monitor patients’ conditions continuously, utilizing telemetry and critical care experience to identify changes requiring immediate intervention.
Coordinate discharge planning, case management, and follow-up care to optimize patient recovery and satisfaction.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
Provide education on health coaching, medication administration, and disease management tailored to individual needs.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals in emergency medicine, trauma medicine, or specialized units such as ICU or PICU when necessary.

Qualifications

Valid nursing license (RN) with current registration in the applicable state or region.
Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments including hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU, or long-term care facilities.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in critical care procedures including ventilator management, airway management, and acute pain management.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings such as trauma centers or Level I/II trauma centers; experience in neonatal resuscitation procedures is a plus.
Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care across pediatric, adult, geriatric, and hospice populations.
