Why Join Reverent Coast
We provide a supportive environment encouraging professional and personal development. We emphasize growth and advancement of our team members, expansion of our company services, and above all, exceptional care of the pet entrusted to us by grieving families.
Our mission is to provide a service that gives reverence to the dignity of the animal, honors the sacred completion of the life cycle, and gives comfort to their grieving families.
How you will help
When a family says goodbye to a beloved furry family member, the care their pet receives afterward matters deeply. As our Pet Aftercare Associate, you are the compassionate hands entrusted with that care. Using alkaline hydrolysis — a water-based, environmentally gentle alternative to flame cremation — you will carry each pet and family through the aftercare process with the same tenderness and respect you would want for your own. Every family trusts us to return their furry loved one to them with dignity, and you make that promise real.
Specifically, you will:
- Operate and monitor our aquamation equipment, loading each pet with care and setting cycle parameters correctly and safely
- Treat identification and chain of custody as sacred — verify, tag, and track each pet from intake through the return of their remains, so the right family always receives the right cremains (ash)
- Gently process and prepare cremains (ash), then package them into urns or keepsakes according to each family's wishes and facility specifications
- Keep our equipment clean and cared for through daily inspections, routine cleaning, and preventive maintenance
- Handle cleaning solutions and alkaline chemicals safely, monitor pH levels
- Maintain meticulous logs and records, and keep the workspace clean, orderly, and ready
- Mentor and guide newer drivers and technicians, sharing your knowledge and modeling the standard of care we hold ourselves to
- Help plan and prioritize each day's cycles so families never wait longer than they should
- Assist with the respectful transport and transfer of deceased pets
- Answer phones, texts, and emails with warmth — answering questions, taking messages, and forwarding calls to the correct personnel
- Offer simple emotional and psychological support to the pet parent/family during a tender time
- Create memorial items, such as paw or nose prints
- Manage general purchasing and inventory of supplies so we are always ready to care
- Work independently with little need for supervision while maintaining a climate that promotes growth and harmonious relationships within the staff
- Uphold health and safety: Follow all OSHA, environmental, and facility safety protocols, including proper PPE use and safe handling of biohazards and chemicals
- Perform general duties as needed and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
