Experienced Accounting & Payroll Manager

We are a fast-growing multi-unit restaurant and hospitality company seeking an experienced accounting and payroll professional to help strengthen our financial operations and internal controls across the organization.
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing accounting functions in a fast-paced, multi-location environment. Our company currently operates more than 30 restaurant locations, with continued expansion underway, along with additional hospitality operations.
We are looking for someone who takes ownership, thrives under pressure, and can help create structure, accountability, and accuracy across payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage payroll processing across multiple locations and entities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
- Review and reconcile sales, deposits, cash handling, and POS reporting
- Monitor labor reporting, payroll variances, and overtime compliance
- Manage accounts payable and vendor reconciliations
- Assist with monthly financial close processes and financial planning
- Prepare and maintain financial reports and supporting schedules
- Coordinate with operations leadership regarding store-level financial issues
- Assist ownership with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Maintain organized accounting records and internal controls
- Support audits, tax preparation, and compliance requests
- Identify inefficiencies and help improve accounting systems and processes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong payroll experience required
- Experience with multi-unit businesses, restaurants, retail, hospitality, or franchise operations strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
- Experience managing high transaction-volume environments
- Advanced proficiency in Excel required
- Experience with accounting and payroll software platforms preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and solve problems
