Job summary:
This position primarily operates and maintains the laser and plasma cutting equipment. This position may also perform other production activities.
Supervisory responsibilities:
Duties/responsibilities:
- Operate the laser and/or plasma equipment;
- Select and set up nozzles and/or cutting tips based on material type and thickness, load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of the equipment;
- Monitor process gases and report reordering levels.;
- Operate overhead crane with chains, hooks, straps, or other lifting devices in a safe manner
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required;
- Perform all dimensional inspections
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
