Job Description: Staff Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks, including preparing financial statements, managing the general ledger, and assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with month-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

Maintain the general ledger by reviewing and verifying the accuracy of entries and ensuring proper account classification.

Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure the integrity of financial data.

Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records.

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and client billing.

Preparing, verifying, and recording electronic fund transfers (Wire/ACH) securely and accurately

Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing explanations for financial transactions.

Help prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both electronic and physical.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience (work experience in the Manufacturing or Food Service industry (preferred)

Hands on knowledge and experience with AP and AR (Expense & 3-way matching)

Strong knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).

Ability to demonstrate advanced analytic skills, including excellent mathematical skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

Work Environment

Full-time position (on-site) Collaborative team setting with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Compensation: $68,650-72,800 DOE

3% annual EBITDA bonus will depend on the Company successfully meeting its yearly performance goals as set by the Board of Directors.)

Medical benefits (Health, dental, vision, Life) - Eligible after 90 days

401K (Currently 100% contribution by the employee) - Eligible after 30 days

Paid Time Off: Teh employee will accrue 3.07 PTO hours per pay period starting after 90 days

Paid Sick Leave: Starting from the date of hire, the employee will be provided with 40 hours of sick leave to be used during the calendar year.
