Full Job Description

About the Role:

SJH Derm is seeking an experienced, compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team! We are a group of four dermatology offices serving the Chicagoland area and are looking for an enthusiastic team player to support our La Grange location. The ideal candidate has experience performing both cosmetic and medical laser treatments, thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional care.

In this role, you will perform physician-directed laser and light-based treatments, educate patients throughout their treatment journey, maintain treatment equipment, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and clinical excellence. Salary is dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform physician-directed laser and light-based treatments in accordance with established protocols.
Operate and maintain XTRAC® Excimer Laser systems for the treatment of psoriasis, vitiligo, eczema, and other dermatologic conditions.
Perform treatments using the Houva Laser.
Perform DiamondGlow® treatments utilizing simultaneous exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion technology.
Assess patients before treatment and provide education regarding procedures, expectations, and post-treatment care.
Monitor patient response during and after treatments, documenting all care accurately in the electronic medical record.
Adhere to all infection control, laser safety, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.
Maintain treatment rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Minimum of 2 years of dermatology, aesthetic, plastic surgery, or laser treatment experience preferred.
Hands-on experience performing medical laser treatments is required.
Experience with XTRAC® Excimer Laser, Houva Laser, or comparable medical laser/light-based devices preferred.
Experience performing DiamondGlow® or comparable hydrafacial treatments is a plus.
Strong knowledge of laser safety principles and dermatologic patient care.
Excellent communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and clinical staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Dermatology or aesthetic nursing experience.
Experience working in a fast-paced outpatient specialty practice.
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR).

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
