An integrated medical practice is looking for a part time medical office assistant. Duties include scheduling, answering phones, supplement sales, inventory management. $18/hour, Monday and Wednesdays 8 am-4 pm. If interested, please submit a resume.

Summary

A Medical Office Assistant provides essential administrative and patient support in a clinical setting. Reporting to the office manager or practice administrator, you will handle front-desk duties, medical scheduling, EMR/EHR data entry, and general clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate record-keeping. You will leverage core skills in Microsoft Office, patient service, and office management, with premium emphasis on HIPAA compliance, CPT/ICD handling, and various EHR systems. Your role supports clinicians and promotes efficient, confidential healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical administrative support, including front desk duties, scheduling, patient intake, and appointment coordination.
Manage patient communications via in-person, phone, and electronic channels; respond to inquiries and ensure a positive patient experience.
Maintain accurate medical records using EMR/EHR systems, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support medical billing and coding tasks as needed.
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, 10-key typing, and office supply management to keep the practice running smoothly.
Collaborate with healthcare team, manage referrals, and support office operations to optimize patient flow and practice efficiency.

Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills; strong medical administrative experience in a clinic or hospital setting
Front desk and patient-facing duties, including appointment scheduling, patient intake, and receptionist responsibilities
Experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, HIPAA-compliant workflows)
Knowledge of medical office operations, filing, and basic clerical tasks; high attention to detail and customer service
Familiarity with health information management and basic CPT/ICD coding concepts is a plus

Pay: $18.00 per hour
