Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hourAbout Stevens DisposalEstablished in 1986, Stevens Disposal & Recycling Service, Inc. is a family-owned waste and recycling company serving Southeast Michigan and Northwest Ohio.For more than 40 years, we have built our business through dependable service, strong customer relationships, and a commitment to the communities we serve.We are looking for a dependable and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, learning new skills, and being part of a team where their work matters.Previous waste-industry experience is not required. We provide training on our services, systems, and procedures. We're looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow.Responsibilities

Answer incoming customer calls professionally and efficiently
Assist customers by phone, email, and when necessary, in person
Look up customer accounts and verify account and service information
Process customer payments accurately
Answer routine billing and account questions
Assist customers with missed pickups and routine service issues
Schedule eligible bulk-item pickups
Collect required information for AutoPay enrollment
Explain services, schedules, policies, pricing, and billing practices
Accurately document customer interactions and service requests
Learn the differences between residential, commercial, and roll-off services
Determine when a customer's request can be handled directly and when another department is needed
Route specialized calls to the appropriate department
Work with Sales, Operations, Roll-Off, Billing, and other departments to assist customers
Address customer questions and concerns with patience, professionalism, and a solution-focused approach
Perform accurate data entry in customer account and company systems
Follow established procedures while using good judgment and problem-solving skills
Contribute ideas and feedback that can improve the customer experience and team processes
Complete other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking ForPrevious customer service experience is helpful, but we place a strong value on reliability, professionalism, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.A strong candidate will:

Work Location & ScheduleThis is a full-time, in-office position.Our Customer Service Department provides coverage Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Individual employee schedules are assigned within those operating hours.Customer Service Representatives also work approximately 1–2 Saturdays per month from 8:00 AM–12:00 PM.Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.Compensation$15.00–$17.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.Job Type: Full-time
