Location Description Duvall Zeeks is a small format Zeeks. While it will have a slice-line and few places in its lobby to sit, the bulk of the transactions at Zeeks Duvall will be take-out and delivery orders. Fast and efficient kitchen operations with a focus on quality will be key to a great customer experience, profitability, and success at Duvall Zeeks.
Job Summary A Zeeks Hybrid Driver/Cook is responsible for both delivering orders to our customers and assisting in the kitchen. Some nights you could be only on the road or other nights you might just be helping the team in the kitchen. Depending on the staffing levels and need. This role involves safely delivering orders in the time quoted with friendly, helpful, and uncompromising customer service, as well as preparing and cooking food items in the kitchen. The Hybrid Driver/Cook will drive their personal vehicles, following all rules of the road and exercising extreme caution in densely populated areas. When not on a delivery, they will assist the kitchen staff by prepping meats, vegetables, herbs, and dough, cooking menu items, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Teamwork is an essential part of a successful Hybrid Driver/Cook’s position. While maintaining focus and a sense of urgency, they must represent Zeeks in a professional and positive way at all times (in the restaurants and at the customer’s door).
Essential Functions
- Check order for completeness before leaving the restaurant
- Obtain full menu knowledge
- Deliver food and beverages to our customers via personal vehicle (pizza must be steaming hot, salads must be cool)
- Follow all rules of the road (exercising extreme caution in densely populated areas)
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery - friendly, warm, sincere
- Repeat all orders to customers to ensure they are complete
- Use POS system to check out orders and run end-of-shift reports
- Assist in the kitchen with food preparation, including chopping, balling, and rolling dough, and prepping meats, vegetables, herbs, and dough
- Cook menu items according to Zeeks’ recipes and standards
- Portion, arrange, and garnish pizza, salads, and breadsticks
- Read food order slips and/or receive verbal instructions to prepare and cook food
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas
- Other duties as needed
Experience and Qualifications
- Reliable vehicle is required
- Valid Driver’s License is required
- Demonstrated safe driver (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years)
- Delivery driving experience preferred. Pizza experience a plus!
- Positive, friendly, and professional communication skills mandatory
- Motivated self-starter
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Demonstrated commitment to high standards
- Ability to remain level-headed, think clearly, and multi-task productively under pressure
- Clean-cut appearance (beard cut to ½ inch)
- Sincere interest in working as part of a team
- Previous kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

- Lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 50 lbs., carry up to 50 lbs.

Compensation
$17/hour plus tips. When on a delivery you will receive 85% of the tip and a $4 delivery fee per delivery. While working in the kitchen you will then be available to participate in the Kitchen Tip Pool that receives 100% of take out orders and 15% of Delivery Orders. The Kitchen Tip Pool is divided by percentage of total kitchen hours worked that day.
