Forestry Team

Position Overview

Forestry is foundational to NativState’s success, so we want to meet foresters who not only excel in their field but also come with the skills and curiosity to establish trusting, transparent relationships with landowners. You will work closely with our GIS and Forest Carbon teams on forest inventory and carbon modeling and help create plans for carbon management unique to each property. Your expertise will guide the development and implementation of forest management plans, ensuring the future of high-quality nature-based carbon credits and the future of wildlife habitat and water quality.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for registered foresters (or candidates) to be part of a movement addressing global climate concerns through sustainable forest management with small forest landowners. You are forward- thinking and eager to learn and expand your knowledge of the Voluntary Carbon Market. You enjoy establishing working relationships with landowners and have a track record of trust-building with your clients.

What you offer

Passion for the outdoors, conservation, sustainability, and responsible resource management.

Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail.

A neighborly attitude and a drive to make a positive impact.

At least a Bachelor of Science degree in a natural resources field (forestry, wildlife, ecology).

The ability to conduct field work independently.

The ability and desire to work assist private landowners in managing their forests.

GIS experience.

Excellent communication skills.
