Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical measurement will ensure the highest quality standards are met. Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools to produce complex parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications
Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC G-code programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and CNC programming techniques to optimize machining processes
Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and manufacturing specifications to ensure accurate production
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement instruments for quality control purposes
Perform machine setup procedures including tool selection, calibration, fixture installation, and M-code input for precise machining operations
Maintain high standards of quality by inspecting finished parts against specifications using measurement tools and performing CNC quality inspections
Assist with manual machining tasks when necessary using hand tools, power tools, lathes, grinders, and other manual equipment to support production needs

Qualifications

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in CNC G-code programming and CAM software
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation
Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus
Familiarity with SolidWorks or CAD software for part design review is preferred
Mechanical knowledge including machine setup, tooling selection, and maintenance of CNC machinery
Ability to perform precision measurements accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other measurement instruments
Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions and tolerances in manufacturing processes
Experience with manual machining techniques such as lathe work or grinding is advantageous
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly and efficiently
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance in metal machining operations
