Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team! The right candidate will be a team player who is eager to learn and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in creating a welcoming and smooth experience for our patients. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional front desk support and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your energetic approach and excellent communication skills will help create a welcoming environment, manage appointments efficiently, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to improving patient experiences every day.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and check them in for appointments using various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Some appointment scheduling
Verify insurance coverage & perform insurance eligibility checks
Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain organized medical records by filing documents properly and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Assist with patient intake procedures, including updating medical histories and explaining clinic policies clearly.
Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems.
Uphold excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and follow-up calls efficiently.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth office management and ensure high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar medical office administrative support role; clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10-key typing).
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to review documentation meticulously while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
Prior experience in insurance verification, medical scheduling, patient service or front desk operations is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Join us in making a difference!
