Support, reporting, and responsibilities. The Blood Bank Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will report to a Laboratory Manager and a Blood Bank Supervisor, partner with a Medical Director of Pathology, collaborate with friendly inpatient and emergency nurses, and engage a diverse care team of laboratorians, pharmacists, and providers to deliver exceptional transfusion services; day-to-day practice will span complex antibody identification, type and screen, crossmatch, product allocation, quality control, proficiency testing, and consultative guidance within an AABB-, CAP-, CLIA-, and FDA-compliant transfusion service in a dynamic hospital laboratory.
