Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper and Office Manager to manage comprehensive accounting functions for our organization. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of bookkeeping, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, experience with various financial software systems, and a proactive approach to managing confidential information. As a key member of our finance team, you will drive efficiency in financial operations and support strategic decision-making through precise data analysis.

Duties

Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations using software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Prepare and review journal entries, ledger postings, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness in the general ledger
Conduct account analysis and account reconciliation to verify financial data integrity across multiple systems for Construction Management
Maintain detailed records of financial transactions while handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity
Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial statement preparation and audit support
Support budgeting processes and perform variance analysis to aid in financial planning and forecasting
Utilize advanced Excel data analysis skills to interpret financial data and prepare detailed reports for management

Skills

Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel and comfortable with new software for construction management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills including spreadsheets and data analysis tools
Ability to perform double entry bookkeeping accurately and efficiently with attention to detail
Excellent numeracy skills combined with strong math aptitude for account analysis and credit/debit management
Experience handling accounts payable/receivable processes along with customer service skills for vendor and client interactions
Familiarity with technical accounting concepts such as journal entries, account reconciliation, budget analysis, and financial acumen
