We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as a Field Service Engineer in the Charlotte, NC or Greensboro, NC area.
This is a great opportunity to work on the latest technologies and at a market and technology leader. You will visit many different customer locations, mostly NC, SC, VA, TN. You have also full responsibility for your local region of customers with Esko's Laser and UV Exposure solutions.

Your responsibilities as a Field Service Engineer include:
- New system installations (CDI Laser engraving and XPS UV exposure systems)
- Train our customers in equipment use and operator maintenance
- Electrical, mechanical and optics repairs
- Application Software upgrades
- Preventative maintenance
Travel:
- Southeast Travel (NC, SC, TN, VA) - 60%
- Throughout USA travel - 40%
- Total overnight (hotel stays) travel estimated - 65%

Ideal profile:
- You have some formal education in electronics or mechanics, military technical training or experience repairing industrial/commercial equipment.
- Electrical skills: you understand signal flows, connection diagrams, multi/voltmeter, relays, AC/DC, encoders, stepper and servo motors
- Mechanical skills: you are able to assemble components, do fine adjustment work on mechanical parts and optics.
- Computer skills: you have a good understanding of PC hardware, Windows operating system and basic networking. You are comfortable replacing computer parts such as hard drives, power supplies, network/video cards and able to install device drivers
- Experience with printing or platemaking is a plus
- Hands-on, customer-oriented and able to work independently
- Able to lift 50 lbs. and maneuver over, under and around printing equipment.
