Full Time Service Advisor Position Available Now

The Service Department at Ventura Harley-Davidson is a state of the art facility filled with industry leading Harley-Davidson Service Professionals. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for various duties involved with gathering customer and vehicle information, creating Repair Orders, and dispatching work to the technicians. The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about the industry or the brand, has exceptional customer service / problem solving skills, and has basic technical understanding. Learn as you go! Responsibilities and Duties

Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
Develop estimates by costing parts, supplies, and labor, and collecting payment.
Prepare accurate repair orders (RO), obtaining approval signatures and entering RO into Dealership Management System.
Communicate additional repair and service needs to the customer based on vehicle inspection, and engage in suggestive selling techniques to encourage additional parts/accessories.
Keeping customer informed of service specials, completion times, and service expenses.
Schedules appointments, answers phones, and collect funds for services performed.
Assists with the coordination of alternate transportation including vehicle pick-up and/or drop-off requests with the Service Manager.
Actively engage with the Sales Department to schedule and complete Internal Service Work on a daily basis.

Qualifications

Previous Service Advisor experience preferred but not required.
Basic mechanical understanding of Motorcycles and other Powersports vehicles.
Automotive or Powersports experience preferred.
Excellent customer service abilities

Job Specifications

Job Type: Full Time
Pay: Hourly plus commission/bonus pay plan
Schedule: Tuesday -Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
