Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Department: Administration

Reports To: Plant Manager

Eastern Alloys controls zinc manufacturing plants in New York and Kentucky.

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant-Logistics provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the manufacturing plant. This position coordinates with team members across the organization, from the production floor to upper management to facilitate various office related tasks. This position is also responsible for interfacing with customers and vendors and meeting deadlines, making them an essential support to the plant.

Responsibilities & Duties

Provides administrative support to the plant manager and office manager.
Performs general administrative duties, including answering phones, filing, responding to emails, preparing memos and spreadsheets, scheduling appointments and distributing mail.
Coordinates and schedules freight pickups.
Assists in order entry and maintaining office supplies inventory.
Generates and sends correspondence, quotes, purchase orders, reports, etc.
Provides customer support and addresses inquiries promptly.
Provides administrative support to team members as and when required
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma, or equivalent.
1+ years of experience in an administrative role preferred.
Logistics experience highly preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. This role will primarily work in an office setting but it is required to spend time on the plant production floor and will be exposed to varying temperatures.

The salary range offered for this position is a good-faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. Eastern Alloys, Inc. reserves the right to pay more or less than the stated range based on a variety of factors such as experience, geography, etc.
