Hospice Coordinator – Mayflower, AR
Z & D Equipment & Supply is growing, and we are looking for a dependable, organized, and compassionate Hospice Coordinator to join our team in Mayflower, Arkansas.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4:30 PM

About the Position
The Hospice Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring hospice patients receive the medical equipment and supplies they need when they need them. This position coordinates equipment deliveries, pickups, service requests, and communication between hospice providers, patients, caregivers, drivers, and our internal operations team.
The ideal candidate is someone who can stay organized while managing multiple priorities, communicating professionally with hospice staff and families, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
This is a phone-intensive position that requires frequent communication throughout the day. Experience in hospice, healthcare, DME, dispatching, customer service, or medical equipment is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate hospice DME deliveries and pickups to facilities and patients' homes.
- Communicate with hospice nurses, facilities, patients, caregivers, and delivery personnel.
- Coordinate multiple orders and service requests across different geographic areas.
- Schedule and prioritize deliveries based on patient needs and urgency.
- Communicate delivery expectations and estimated arrival times.
- Enter and maintain accurate order and service notes.
- Follow up on open orders, pending deliveries, equipment pickups, and service requests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, and other communications.
- Assist with resolving delivery, equipment, and customer service concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure orders are completed and properly closed.
- Work closely with drivers, technicians, managers, respiratory therapist and other team members.
- Recognize urgent patient-related equipment needs and appropriately escalate concerns.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with sensitive patient information.
What We're Looking For
- Proven customer service experience; healthcare, hospice, or DME experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple orders simultaneously.
- Comfortable making and receiving a high volume of phone calls.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast paced, and sometimes noisy office environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused under pressure.
- Comfortable learning and working across multiple computer platforms and software systems.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
