Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of accredited school of Nursing; BSN Preferred
or paramedic license
Minimum Work Experience
5 years of experience
Required Licenses
Current Georgia RN or paramedic License.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification. Instructor preferred: must obtain within 3 months
Physical Requirements
Sitting, walking and standing; lifting objects up to 50 lbs.; lifting and turning patients with/without assistance; kneeling, crouching, stooping and squatting; pushing and pulling patients with/without assistance; twisting of hand and wrist; reaching; motor coordination and manual dexterity (meds and treatment); hearing acuity (distinguish heart and breath sounds); visual acuity (read gauges and dials on equipment); color vision (changes in patient skin color and colors of medication).
Environmental Working Conditions
Working with or near chemicals; working near radiation sources; working near fumes; working with hazardous waste; wearing protective clothing and/or equipment; exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Will need experience with online education, developing and leading projects, and working with leaderships teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs for clinical and non-clinical staff.
Deliver classroom, virtual, hands-on, and simulation-based instruction using adult learning principles.
Obtain and maintain American Heart Association (AHA) Instructor certification for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within established departmental timeframes.
Assess learning needs and develop educational plans to address identified competency gaps.
Complete training to function as a healthcare simulation technician and progressively assume simulation support responsibilities.
Develop educational materials, presentations, online learning modules, competency checklists, and instructional resources.
Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through competency assessments, participant feedback, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with department leaders to identify educational priorities that support patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
Obtain and maintain additional instructor certifications as assigned or needed to support organizational educational initiatives
Plan, coordinate, and deliver community education programs
Maintain accurate education records within the organization's Learning Management System (LMS).
Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations.
Serves on and establishes committees as needed and assigned. Performs any & all other job duties as assigned by Educational Services Director for completion of job requirements.
