Full Job Description

If you like helping others and engaging in a dynamic atmosphere with social components and varied tasks, this position is catered to you. We are interested in an applicant who is first and foremost, a warm and friendly individual who genuinely enjoys helping and interacting with others. Proper care and attention to our clients is something we take very seriously and do our best to ensure everyone feels cared for, respected, and valued--both clientele and staff alike.

Punctuality and consistency are key in this industry and are incredibly valuable assets to our team. Someone who is comfortable being flexible going with the flow is also advantageous as the days events can change very quickly at times.

Micro-managing is something we avoid, and with that; the ability to take initiative when you see something that needs to be attended to is a skill we strive to foster and value strongly. There are times when the desk may be slow while operators are busy and taking initiative on your own to stay productive is essential. This allows us to maintain a light and functional environment without a controlling atmosphere.

This role also requires efficient abilities utilizing a smart phone (typing, scanning QR codes, taking photos, etc), as our POS system is often used this way to make checkouts run smoother for our clients.

Reception Duties include:

Answering phones:

Booking appointments
Taking phone orders

Check in/check out clients

Pulling and wrapping retail orders
Ringing out sales (services and retail)

Opening/closing cash drawer

Updating closing reports

Counting/checking in inventory

Maintaining tidy/clean retail display and workspace

Assistant Duties:

Cleaning makeup/brushes and prepping Jules and artists' workspaces between makeup appointments on busy days.

Filling disposables

Dress Code:

Dress code is important in this position being that we are in the Beauty Business, and must represent as such. Professional predominantly black attire is required and hairstyle should look clean and polished; minimal makeup is also necessary.
