<Job Summary>

This job will be a part time/relief pharmacist (whatever you prefer) minimum 2 days a week at our Pharmacy in Paris, KY. Days of the week are flexible and can be discussed.

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through expert medication management and clinical services. In this engaging position, you will utilize your extensive pharmacy knowledge to ensure safe, effective, and personalized medication therapies. Your proactive approach will support multidisciplinary teams, optimize patient outcomes, and uphold the highest standards of pharmacy practice in a fast-paced healthcare environment. <Responsibilities>

Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all legal and safety regulations, including HIPAA privacy standards.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies, considering physiology, anatomy, and medical history.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and modify treatment plans, especially in critical care, pediatrics, and acute care settings.
Manage inventory levels efficiently, including compounding medications and preparing IV infusions using aseptic techniques.
Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and medical terminology to promote understanding and compliance.
Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions, medication administration, and medical management activities.
Perform patient care activities such as medication administration, IV insertion, pain management strategies, and patient service initiatives to enhance overall health outcomes.

<Requirements>

Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
Demonstrated experience in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy or hospital settings with a focus on acute care or critical care environments.
Prior pharmacy residency or clinical pharmacy experience is highly preferred for advanced patient assessment skills.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medical management principles.
Proficiency with pharmacy software systems, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR platforms.
Experience with compounding medications, aseptic technique, IV insertion, infusion preparation, and inventory management.
Ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills for patient service and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Additional qualifications include immunizations certification and experience with pharmacy technician supervision or collaboration.
