Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for RGH Long Term Care facility

**********Limited Time $2500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS***********

Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV a 60 bed Critical Access Hospital with 35 SNF/ICF beds, 25 acute care beds, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, three Rural Health Clinics, three School-based Clinics and a Walk-in clinic is currently seeking applicants for a Night Shift LPN at RGH Long Term Care facility - Full-Time.

Qualifications:

Applicant must be Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of West Virginia and hold a current certification in CPR/BLS. Applicants must have strong computer skills, strong work ethic, be a motivated self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast pace setting. Applicant must be able to work a flexible schedule including all shifts and some weekends. Geriatric experience a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Consistently strive to understand, anticipate, and meet the needs of the unit, our "residents", and the public. Employee shall strive to create an environment that promotes teamwork, interest, involvement, excitement, and organization as part of their daily job.

Maintain professional, pleasant, and effective communication both internally and externally. Exhibit initiative and cooperation within the work group. Present self in a positive manner reflected by personal attire and etiquette.

Observes patient, appropriately collects and documents pertinent data significant to condition and effects of care provided.

Reports information regarding significant incidents, changes, and effects of care given promptly and accurately to the RN and/or physician.

Administers, documents, observes, and reports effects medications appropriately.

Initiates IV's for continuous infusion and administers premixed IVPB medications after having successfully completing IV Instruction Course.

Assist medical practitioner.

Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures and protocol.

Works well with others in a team effort.

Participates in the Performance Improvement Process.

Demonstrates awareness of and compliance with hospital policies and procedures, assumes responsibility for learning new policies and procedures.

Assumes responsibility for professional and personal development, self learning needs are communicated to appropriate resources.

Maintains a safe environment for self and others.

Tactful and effective communication is maintained.

Work performance demonstrates competency of concepts and skills.
