Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 annually

Allied Behavioral Health Solutions (ABHS) is a locally owned behavioral health practice with a staff of dedicated, passionate, and collaborative clinicians working towards ABHS' goal of better outcomes for all. Since 2017, ABHS has been committed to providing high quality and accessible mental health services across Middle and East Tennessee. Our team members offer a broad background of experience and education dedicated to providing care for individuals from all walks of life. In September 2024, ABHS opened the Resilient Roots Family Wellness Center (RRFWC) in Smyrna which includes clinical services across the lifespan, a community hub, and a therapeutic preschool.
In 2025 we opened Little Blossoms Early Learning & Development Center, a therapeutic preschool serving children who are developing typically as well as children with behavioral, developmental, and other needs ages 6 weeks - 5 years. The ideal candidates for roles within Little Blossoms will be passionate about supporting parents, infants, children, and families in meeting their mental health and educational goals.
Primary Function
The Little Blossoms Preschool Education Director oversees the quality of therapeutic preschool educational services and activities associated with RRFWC provided by ABHS team members, the relationships and support between team members, and ensures that those efforts align with programmatic expectations for fidelity and budgetary needs and ABHS' values and vision of better outcomes for all.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of educational programming, daily operations, and staff at Little Blossoms.
- Maintain preschool environment compliant with all DHS rules and regulations.
- Oversee Little Blossoms leadership team and collaboration with outpatient clinical staff to address educational and behavioral needs of children and families, including referral to outpatient services.
- Collaborate with leadership and educational staff to implement programming and curriculum to meet developmental, educational, and relational needs of a diverse clientele.
- Develop and implement admission process, census management & attendance, and periodic assessments of individualized learning goals and behavioral support plans.
- Collaborate with Little Blossoms staff to ensure strong and trusting relationships with students, parents, guardians, and families.
- Collaborate with Family Engagement Specialist to develop and organize family events, workshops, and informational sessions to promote parental involvement and support.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations including associated documentation and audits.
- Collaborate with Middle Tennessee Director to create crisis, emergency preparedness, and safety protocols to ensure safety in the learning environment.
- Meet with educational team weekly to identify and support team needs, address concerns with staff, and disseminate agency-wide announcements.
- Meet weekly with ABHS executive leadership to address programmatic needs.
- Follow up on all incident reports in supervision to ensure thorough assessment and ongoing care for staff, students, and families.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Previous experience in a leadership role within a preschool or early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of child development principles, early learning standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to effectively manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks.
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the preschool's operations.
- Familiarity with DHS and state licensing requirements and regulations governing preschools.
- Proficiency in computer skills and electronic record management systems.
Physical Demands
This position will require light to medium work involving standing or walking most of the time with some lifting in excess of 20lbs. Position will also frequently reach above the shoulders, climbing stairs, and spending time outdoors in various conditions of heat/cold, lighting conditions, and noise levels. This position may also require assisting young children with activities of daily living including, but not limited to daily typical hygiene tasks.
